We are a Nation in a Mental Health Crisis.

One in four adults this year will report symptoms of some kind of mental health concern. Half (50%) of our young adults (ages 18-34) are suffering from a diagnosable mental illness. The average teen today has higher levels of anxiety than the average psych ward patient of the 1950’s.

In 2021, the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Children’s Hospital Association declared children’s mental health a National State of Emergency.

We are all being impacted.

While therapy is critically important to navigate through our own mental health issues, caring for someone who is struggling is difficult and lonely:

  • The burden of carrying their pain is difficult.
  • Feeling unclear on what is “helpful” for them is confusing.
  • Wondering what caused this and how to support them is baffling.
  • Knowing where to go for the best therapeutic fit for your loved one is overwhelming. Who treats this disorder? Who take our insurance? Who will see my person face-to-face or who can we see virtually?

This is where coaching is helpful.

My coaching is not meant to be therapy for you or your loved one.

It is emotional and psychological support for you as you assist someone else through their own recovery from mental illness.

Before we begin, let’s establish this conversation as a safe place to talk.

*Please note: Coaching is not psychotherapy. If I believe there are mental health concerns that require therapy and/or medication, you might be encouraged to locate a mental health professional in your area to work with you alongside this coaching journey. I can provide assistance in locating someone for an additional fee.  Â
